Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary - A long boardwalk allows you to stroll over a scenic cypress swamp. One hour south of us. Babcock Wilderness Adventures - Organized tours of a huge tract of wild land and swamps, accessible by swamp buggy rides. About 30 minutes north of us. Billie Swamp Safari - Explore an Everglades swamp by airboat or swamp buggy with the Seminole Indian Tribe. About an hour away from us out in the Everglades. Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens - A classy zoo with great live programs on reptiles. About an hour south of us in Naples. Sarasota Jungle Gardens - Acres of beautiful gardens and nature trails make this an enjoyable tropical adventure. About 1.5 hours north of us. Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium - Our local nature center maintains a display of area wildlife. Thirty minutes from us in Ft. Myers at exit #36 off I-75. Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum - Everything about seashells and the animals that create them, on Sanibel Island. A little over an hour away from us. Marie Selby Botanical Gardens - A virtual paradise for those loving plants like orchids, bromeliads, etc. About 1.5 hours north of us.
